for the Meat Industry

From 11th till 15th September 2011 the whole event encompassing six different fair exhibitions: POLAGRA-FOOD, POLAGRA-TECH, GASTRO TRENDY, PAKFOOD, TASTES OF REGIONS, and NATIONAL ANIMAL BREEDING EXHIBITION was visited by 45 thousand visitors.
This year's International Trade Fair of Food Processing Technologies POLAGRA-TECH, the biggest event on food technology in this part of Europe, attracted over 310 companies presenting machinery, equipment, modern technological solutions and food additives for the meat, refrigeration, air conditioning, heating, and food industry such as fruit and vegetable industry, pasta, potatoes, juices and beverages.
At this year POLAGRA edition over 120 prizes, awards, medals and distinctions were awarded: including MTP Gold Medals (for the best products presented at the fair), Acanthus Aureus (for the stands contributing the most to the implementation of the company marketing strategy), medals on the occasion of the 90th anniversary of Międzynarodowe Targi Poznańskie, and the "Złotnicka Premium" titles (for the best złotnicka pork products and their producers). Seven entrepreneurs from Wielkopolska were incorporated into the Regional Network of Culinary Heritage of Wielkopolska, whose aim is to promote the production and sale of local and regional food. Polish President gave medals and decorations to those distinguished for the Polish agriculture, while the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development granted awards in the category of "The most interesting promotion at the Polagra-Food fair". Individuals and companies whose activities particularly contributed to the development of packaging industry in Poland were honored with the awards of the Polish Chamber of Packaging.
The fair event was accompanied by dozens of industry events, congresses, conferences, workshops, exhibitions, shows and tastings.

The exposition was accompanied by XVII Forum of Butchers and Cured Meat Producers The leading motto of the Forum was refer to the promotion of the niche types of meat, which prove to be perfect as the culinary meat, and additionally may constitute the raw material for processing. Meetings with experts encourage learning the newest trends in the scope of the macrobiological security in the meat industry, the aspects of the veterinary supervision and proper marking of meat products. Forum was also an arena for Nationwide Butcher’s Products Competitions. The rewards was granted to the best producers of butcher’s products, specialists of the meat sector and the best products, preserves and meat dishes with exceptional taste values in seven categories: the Best Producer of Buther’s Products, the Art of Arranging and Decorating of Trays, the Best Butcher’s Product in the Consumer Evaluation, the Culinary Meat, Poultry Products, Meat in Ready-Made Dishes, the Butcher’s Hit of the Year.
Great interest of specialists enjoyed the exhibition of the Modern Refrigerating presenting the newest technological solutions available in the market for the industry as well as broadly understood agriculture and food sector, gastronomy of commercial networks and markets, wholesale companies, the logistic sector as well as assembly companies operating in the field of refrigerating and air-conditioning. Trade fair visitors willing to enjoy the advice of specialists in the field of application and equipment capabilities and the latest market trends.
